You had trouble with ‘no matter + if’.
For homework, think of 3 things that would happen even if something else happened’
e.g. No matter if it’s windy or rainy, I will go outside.

Grammar

Remember that “had + verb 3” means one action happened before another one in the past
e.g., I had met Tony when I met Sarah (this means you met Tony first and later met Sarah)
The correct name for this tense is the past perfect tense.

Remember the difference between ‘someone suspended something’ and ‘something was suspended’.
e.g. The long and boring study time was suspended
If it is not important to say who did it, then we use ‘was + verb 3’
This is called the pssive voice.

Vocabulary

We learned about collocations. Some words are friends and others are not friends.

I did something done (do + done = not friends)
I got something done (get + done = friends)
I know some knowledge (know + knowledge = not friends)
I have some knowledge (have + knowledge = friends)

pain – the feeling
I felt pain when I broke up with my boyfriend
I was in pain when we broke up

painful – the hurt caused by an action
It was painful when we broke up
Getting hit by a car is really painful

Pronunciation

felt – the vowel is /ɛ/
field – the vowel is /iː/
the /t/ and /d/ are very close, so it’s important to say the vowel clearly

pain – the vowel is /eɪ/
pin – the vowel is /ɪ/

national – the first vowel is /æ/
nation – the first vowel is /eɪ/

entrance – the second vowel is  /ə/

suspended – make sure you say the second /s/

In terms of the best days in my life, I can remember several in the different phases.

The first one is that i had finished my national college entrance exam and the long and boring study time had suspended which was the best thing druing high middle school period.

The second one is that I confirmed a relationship with my ex boyfriend because love is the best thing in the life. But how happy you got at the beginning, how painful you could got at the end.

The third thing is that i had trips with my parents, and no matter it was in Japan or Yunnan province which could make me feel i was still a child.
