Writing exercise

I have not known about the German national football team until 2010, when the FIFA World Cup was held in South Africa. I found out about many German football players because they played as a team and make the game entertaining, although it’s a pity that Germany only took third place that year.
Two years later I paid more attention to German national team while I was watching the UEFA Euro 2012. At that time the German coach chose many new faces to play the games, and one of them attracted me, whose name is Marco Reus. He played as an attacking midfielder and looked vivacious and sanguine. I admired his smiles and his performance. In order to learn more about him, I have learned German to read more local reports. And then I found out about BVB, his new football club which is based in his hometown, Dortmund, a city in western Germany. Finally, I became a fan of BVB with a closer look until the team coached by Klopp fell apart.
Unfortunately, Reus’s career has not gone smoothly since 2013. BVB has failed to win the title, not only in the Bundesliga, the German primary football competition, but also in the UEFA Champions League, the most prestigious club competition in European football. What is worse is that he missed 2014 FIFA World Cup due to his recurring injuries, which Germany won. He has not got the world champion so far with the German national team. I hope he can realize his dream this year, even though it’s not easy for Germany to reach the fianal and win it again.
