the video is about the fermi paradox / discusses / gives a brief intro of / is based on / the basis of the video is... firstly the video tells me that the entire universe is very large / expansive / huge / massive / enormous / virtually endless / basically endless. the observable universe is about / around / roughly / more or less 90 billion light year in diameter and there are about 100 billion galaxies in the universe each with / containing / which contains / includes / consisting of / which consists of 100 – 1000 stars. and recently we found out  / discovered / identified / demonstrated / proven / uncovered there are trillions of planets in the whole universe. that means it got lot of opportunities to develop civilizations and lets try to shrink the scope of what we’re talking about… let’s focus on the milky way – our own galaxy… because other galaxies is far more away from us, it’s hardly for human to reach other galaxies, and in the milkyway there are 10 or 20 billion sun-like stars, it’s a big number so we still have lots of chances to develop civilization just in the milkyway, but where are the aliens? We should have found them but we don’t find them now, so to answer that question lets try to figure out the categories of civilization. There are mainly 3 categories. The type 1 would be a civilization which can make use of all the energy of it’s planet. We’re in 0.73 period type one. Maybe we will be type one civilization in 100s of years. The type two civilization means one can access all the energies of its home star, but the tech sounds like fiction. Type 3 civilizations are able to use all of their energy of its galaxy. If there’s a type 3 civilization it would look like a god for us. So, if there are type 2 and type 3 civilizations it would be very easy for them to colonize the entire galaxy in 2 million years… it’s a short time for a galaxy. But, we don’t see the aliens so that is the fermi paradox. Maybe there is a great filter. So there are 3 hypothesis. The first one is about a great filter.. maybe there’s great filters but we have passed them. Maybe life is very complexed. There’s little chance for a planet to develop life but we have developed civilization and passed the great filter, if that’s true it’s great news for us and we will be type 1 and type 2 civilizations in a very short time.
