In Jan 2021，CJ CGV, the largest movie network of Korea has launched a service project of “renting cinema screen to play games” for game lovers. The service is operated in 34 cinemas for 5 days every week. The rental fee is 150,000 Korean won for 2 hours and 4 people can participant.
The game players must prepare game machines and accessories by themselves and after connecting game machines to cinema screens, they can enjoy the movie effect with high quality graphics and sound effect when they play games. As we know, due to the covid19 issue, lots of cinemas were facing a big challenge, and CGV group was one of them, they had to find some way to solve the problem, and they realized that a big screen is the core competitiveness of a cinema，so they tried to shift their focus to game players. For game lovers, the importance of screen is obviously, from mobile screens, TV screens, household projectors to huge screens, it is clear that the experience is quite different in that they can Immerse in rich visual and sound effect when they use a screen to play games，therefore it attracts lots of game lovers and help the cinema to maintain its business. I really appreciate that under this situation, various industries are using some innovative and interesting ways to get out of trouble.
