Writing exercise
As I mentioned, for the last couple of weeks, I had a pretty busy week working on 2 different projects with different complexities.
As a rule, the whole process starts with the development of a concept note, which I present, generically, the E&S impacts and the risks of the project. As a next step, I try to contact the client to organize a video conference meeting, in order to collect more detailed information regarding the environmental and social aspects, such as the sensitivity of the territory, presence or not of vulnerable communities or indigenous people. Normally, after this first contact, the client has to provide to us its data-room. For instance: if the client or the contractor has already prepared an EIA for the project, they have to submit to us the license authoring the construction.
In summary, my routine is, basically, lined by analysis of E&S documents, preparation of E&S risk basis papers, appointments with clients and E&S Due Diligence.
In summary, my routine is basically guided by the analysis of environmental and social documents, preparation of E&S risk papers, consultations with clients and environmental and social Due Diligence.
