Book: Step 1: read the first sentence of the article, and the last sentence – think of what the whole article is about. Step 2: read the first sentence of each paragraph and the last sentence of each paragraph – think of what each paragraph is about. Step 3: look at each red word and make sure you understand them and think about them.

On a hot sunny day MB is standing on a tall building which belongs to the old man and his wife. MB who is afraid of heights is trying to blow the ball down. However it doesn’t work and a bird flies away so he lose his balance and nearly fall. He’s scared as he thinks maybe he will fall down. The old woman who is shouting is scared. Then the mouse jumps down to the floor and tries to break the rope. The a girl sees MB and calls the fire truck. She says “emergency emergency” and later the firefighters come.

On a hot sunny day, after climbing to the top floor to get the ball, MB is standing on a tall building which belongs to the old man and his wife. MB who is afraid of heights is trying to blow the ball down. However it doesn’t work and a bird flies away so he loses his balance and nearly falls. Standing alone, thinking what he should do so that he can get the ball, and feeling quite scared as he thinks maybe he will fall down, MB sees the man and his son across the road watching him. The old woman who is shouting is scared. Then the mouse jumps down to the floor and tries to break the rope. Then a girl sees MB and calls the fire truck. She says “emergency emergency” and later the firefighters come. MB is really scared, as the sounds from the firetruck ring out all around him. The situation is quite crazy and who knows what will happen next!!!
