Dear Private Advertiser hiring manager,

I am writing in response to the opening for Investment Analyst position, which I believe reports to you.

I consider myself as an earnest person with good communication skills and a growth mindset. I have worked as an intern in several financial institutions, which gave me some industry experience and insights. This experience led me to constantly focus on the news and updates of the global financial market and companies from different sectors. I have also developed a deep understanding of business / a strong business mindset from continuously studying the market.

Besides this, I have engaged in financial markets in not only a theoretical way but also a practical way over the years. I have achieved a rate of return of over 200% on my private investment portfolio over an eight month period. I firmly believe that research creates value, and using logic when it comes to investment is essential. By consuming research reports and market updates, I learned to analyze a company by looking into its financial indicators, business performance, industry dynamics, etc. Given my educational background and my past experience, I feel that I am qualified for this position.

I find that your program’s exposure and ongoing training opportunities are particularly attractive to me, and I am working towards a CFA as well. I have attached my resume for your review. I hope to have a chance to speak with you sometime.

Regards,

Jack Li
