MB walks to the back of the house and compare the house to the book about a haunted house and the 2 houses look almost exactly the same. Then a gust of wind blows the door open and it made MB even more scared. But he had to reach the ball so he very bravely walks into the room with teddy scouting ahead peeking around corners and probably doing no more work than a slug. As he was walking up the steps to door which had opened creakily, one part of a step falls down making MB think the house is haunted even more which he already does very much even without the worn out little step. He walks into the room which is a big room with a chandelier in the middle and cobwebs covering the ceiling and wall. The room turns him green because of some unlogical exclamation and he goes into the room but then his voice made an echo in the room and he thought it was funny so he started making sounds and saying things
