may I ask why Roland Berger is included in this pitch?

The Company is classified as strategic consulting company and it is not encouraged to contract them at this point in time.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to stick to the traditional auditing firms that probably don’t charge that high rates?

The Roland Berger were included in the pitch were because they convinced our buyer that they have the auditing team that have similar GR check experience in the automobile industry in the process of going through all the capable potentials from the vendor pool.

Charging rate is very important consideration in the process, Despite the company in the list, but they need to competing with other traditional audit firms in the list.

Again, thanks for your reminder, procurement and us will be carefully watching the pitch process and ensure we got most value for money services.

Just to give some clarification – the reason that Roland Berger were included in the pitch is because in the process of going through all the capable potentials from the vendor pool, our buyer selected them due to them having an auditing team that have similar GR check experience in the automobile industry.

I agree that the rate is a very important consideration in the process, and despite them not being a traditional audit firm, they will need to compete with the other traditional audit firms and therefore I would expect a competitve rate being offered by them.
