This week I attended a video conference with our global colleagues, that made me very frustrated, because I only could understand about 5% content if I without automatically captions by Zoom, even I opened subtitles I just got almost 50% what they talk about. This meeting mentioned me needing to study English more hardly than before.
Besides with it, our new CEO will arrive in China at mid-to-late January, and I probability need to make a English report to her and management to require their supports for fighting with Chinese local competitors. So, you can feel my strong pressure with it, which is just leave less than 50 days to me to prepare the deck.
With all that, I think I need make 3 aspects change. Frist is increasing study time to 2 hours every workday to train my listening capability and pronunciation. Second is focusing on learning English all time in weekend to accumulate professional words of our industry and reading or oral English. Third is rehearsal catch up scenarios to prepare a small talk when I meet our management in beginning, I think I could through the TV shows such as Friends or Modern Family to learn more social words to enhance my skills.
So, I think I would have class with you more than twice during next two months, and we could focus our business and face to face interactive situations.
