We woke up particularly early this morning. At around 5am, we packed up all things and took a Taxi from home to Qiantan Park. We intended on bringing our cat Yuyuan (Taro Ball) to the river side, and took some pictures for him. Since the park was crowded in the weekend, we chose a very early time slot to take photo. However, when we arrived there, there was a downpour, so we waited under the eave of a building. We let our cat out of his cat bag, and tried to put the harness for him. Before tying the string, Yuyuan suddenly rushed into bushes. It was really difficult for us to find him, due to the fact that the bushes were roughly 1m high. Jin went into the bushes and called Yuyuan, but nobody answered him. Meanwhile, I was searching how to solve this problem. I searched through Safari and LittleRedBook, hoping to get some ideas from other’s experience. To my surprise, I found there was an amazing new job —— Pet Detective.

They came from a company in Beijing, offering professional finding pets service. Through browsing their Taobao page, I found that they used professional devices like life detection and night-vision device to help finding pets. I messaged the service staff, and communicated our situation with her briefly. The service staff responded really quickly. She sent me a satellite image, and asked we whether our cat escaped from here. To our surprise, the place she sent was particularly accurate. Then she sent us their service list, and let us choose a set suitable for us. It was like a gamble. Generally speaking, there were two payment styles. Take the cheapest service as an example. One was paying 3000 Yuan at the beginning, and if they didn’t find the cat in 2days, they would return 2000 Yuan. They use life detection help us to detect life in the environment. So we tried to chat to them and they sent us a service list – it’s not cheap. Starting from 3000 yuan and the most experience said it’s about 10,000 yuan but different set have different equipment and the more you pay and the longer they will help you to find the cat. But for our situation we found them very quickly so they recommended us just choose the cheapest service. And the very interesting thing is they have 2 payment styles. One is you pay the full price, like for us we can pay 3000 yuan at the beginning and if they don’t finish their work they will return us 2000 yuan and the other payment style is we pay 4000 yuan for the same service but if they don’t finish the task they will return all to us.
