Online Class Notes (Jesse) [15 hours]

today I want to talk about my recent way to learn English.
when I was young,i learned English by reciting words or taking examinations, and unfortunately I was proved to be a wrong way,beacause during many years,i was hard for me to use English
,and I felt very shy to talk with others.

for the reasons above, i did’t use English for a long time, but I always have interest on study so I usually collect study methods, but I don’t have confidence to study well because all the people say I was possible for a adult to learn English,but I think I was lucky because I met a book, which named” treat time as a friend”,it says never too late too learn, the writer is a famous English teacher,so I felt that maybe I have the chance to learn English well.

the book says if you want to learn English,you need to listen somthing about English everyday for four hours, and he recomand a lot of grammar books or dictionaries ,maybe they are useful but I was really hard to go on.

so I use another method, but I forgot where I leaned it,and the method is you can watch the video with English subtitles everyday,and have an 1 on 1 English teacher, and I felt obvious progress

now I got another method to learn English but I don’t know if it is right

the method is three steps

1: listen to an article for tree times
2: follow to read the whole article for two times
3: check the words or phrase you don’t know

after about 2500 hours, your English will be excellent .it sounds good, but is it right?

Grammar

during = inside a time
eg. during class, I learn many things = in the class I learn many things

I have class for 1 hour = you use 1 hour to do it / it takes 1 hour

I bought it for 10 RMB = use 10 RMB
I had class for 1 hour = use 1 hour

you can hardly see – it’s hard to see / you don’t often see

I go to the park and there are many people

I go to the school and there are many students
I go to my office and there are some people
I will go to my office and there will be some people

It’s 5 o’clock = the time is 5 o’clock
It’s late = the time is late
