I had a hamster when I was in university and I think this hamster is the smartest one that I’ve never seen.His name is Tuan Tuan which is small and has white fur and a gray line on its back.Its breed is winter white dwarf hamster.
There weren’t many choices for pet keeping when I lived in dormitory with hamsters being a perfect option.My hamster has a good and regular habit and he always keeps his environment clean and tidy,therefor,all I need to do is to brush and wash the whole cage and put in enough new wood shavings once a week ,plus,add food and water into his bowls in time.
I remember that there were two special stuffs I bought for him.One is a fitness equipment haha,actually it’s a rolling ball which you can put a hamster into it and it enables the hamster to roll on the floor and to see the outside world.Tuan Tuan often went for a free drive around our dormitory and corridor,with which he had a lot of fun,but later I threw it away,because the ball has some holes on the surface and which might hurts his leg when he runs quickly.Another one is a summer sleeping mat which is made of metal,and the usage of it is to help the hamster cool down(?) in summer.It works for hamsters,further more, I can make a double effect with the mate by putting the cage in a plastic basin and then fill the basin with a few cold water,then I will get a “flat and about to meld hamster”,because it’s too comfortable to press its whole body on the cool mat.
