Writing exercise

In my drawing class I’m used to take some method to teach students effectively. At the beginning of the class I’ll show them something to arouse their interest and try to bring them some sense stimulation .Such as by using a piece of music,a riddle/puzzle ,a short piece of animation or cartoon,or even some smell and something that has special texture ,which also help me introducing the topic.Then we’ll have an about 3 minutes discussion to get every students involved in. After the lead-in(?), I’ll lead them to observe and analyse the object that we about to depict ,and show them as many possibilities and imagination as possible to open their mind.These are what I do before we start a painting and I consider that it is the most important part in a class.
Besides,make sure the environment won’t distract the children , stimulate their interest and keep encouraging them are the priority things in any class.On top of these,don’t forget often question students rather than tell them answers directly.

After the lead-in / warm-up, I’ll lead them to observe and analyse the object that we about to depict (express) / draw / paint, and show them as many possibilities and ideas as possible to open their minds. These are what I do before we start a painting and I consider that it is the most important part in / for / of a class.
