dentist teeth cleaning – how do you say it?

Writing exercise

When I started working, I was taught that everyone’s salary is personal privacy, don’t inquire about it at will. But now, the world is changing, the Finnish government is planning a new legislation with the point being that if employees suspect they are discriminated against in the company, they can check the salary of their colleagues. The main purpose of the new legislation is trying to narrow the gender pay gap. In past 10 years, gender equality has always been an important political issue in Finland. Although Finland ranks second in the Global Gender Gap Report that means the comprehensive situation of gender equality in Finland is better than most countries in the world, there is still a gap between women and men in the same positions in terms of income. In 2020, Finnish women earn 17.2% less than men, and their gender income gap is the largest in Nordic countries. Therefore, as soon as the news of the new law released, it immediately aroused the discussion of local concerns about equality and salary transparency in Finland. Supporters of pay transparency believe that this will narrow the income gap in the workplace and help solve the problem of different pay for equal work. When people realize that their income is lower than that of their colleagues, they will be more active in fighting for fairness. However, the new legislation also seriously challenges the private salary system, which is also a difficult problem for enterprises. How do you think of this matter?
