Nowadays / These days / In the modern world / In today’s world, parents pay more and more attention to the development of children. They care about almost everything related to kids, including clothing, nutrition, relationships, and sometimes, more than anything, personal qualities. However, people remain divided over whether certain talents, for instance for sport or music, are inherited in children or can be cultivated.
It’s widely believed that some people are born with certain talents while others are not. Quan Hongchan, the youngest athlete in the Tokyo Olympics Games, got / received / won / was awarded her first gold medal when she was only 12 years old. Famous musicians, such as Mozart and Beethoven, are talented pianists and won a variety of big prizes at early ages / early in their lives. Nevertheless, most of us are ordinary and don’t have such a competitive edge in a certain field.
In spite of this, are we bound to be ordinary throughout our whole / for the entirety of our lives? Some people claim that any child can be taught to become a good sports people or musicians. I definitely agree with this / I share this opinion / I very much agree that this is the case / I generally believe this as well. Except talent, many other factors, such as perseverance, a suitable learning environment / an environment which promotes learning / an environment which is conducive to focused learning and excellent study methods, play pivotal roles in success. Lack of talent just reminds us to work harder without suggesting that we can’t improve ourselves. And in fact, hard work simply leads to progress and change.
Talent is a god-given gift / a gift from god. But it’s important to keep in mind / to reminder / to remind yourself that hard work is another gateway to success. Nobody should give up even if they didn’t receive the God’s gift.

it’s better for children to begin learning a foreign language early …

Nowadays, an issue that has given rise to much debate is whether students should begin learning a foreign language at primary school, or / rather than / instead of / as opposed to secondary school.
Some experts claim that it’s better for children / kids / students to start learning earlier in life. In my opinion, the disadvantages of this outweigh the advantages for a number of reasons / due to several factors.
On the one hand, all parents hope that kids can have a happy childhood / a childhood full of happiness. Ironically, there are so many subjects and homework at primary school that greatly increases the burden on students. To finish their homework on time, most students study late at night without having a break / taking breaks / taking time out to rest. They don’t have enough time to play with their friends and take part in outdoor activities. Sometimes, they even lack of sleep / they have a lack of sleep. Given the tight schedule and for the sake of health and happiness, we need to give primary school students / elementary school students more free time for fun, rather than / instead of / and avoid asking them to learn a foreign language at primary school. A healthy and happy child with great self belief will surely study in a more efficient and determined manner than one without it.
On the other hand,  the ability to study well is much stronger in children / children’s ability to study is much stronger / children can study much more effectively at secondary school and they can concentrate on books for a long time. Furthermore, after a six-year study period / After 6 years of studying at primary school, they gradually realize their own strengths and weakness, and they have better communication skills so as to ask questions to teachers when they have difficulties in their studies. All of this progress makes their studies more efficient.
To conclude, in my opinion it should be the priority to study a second language efficiently, which will be at a later age, rather than simply beginning to study it from an early age. Give priority to a happy childhood since it’s impossible to overstate the significance of a well developed person both mentally and physically on their ability to learn and study effectively.
