the day becomes more and more cold and the snowflakes drift down from the sky so snow become more and more heavy. The Charlie’s father have to dig a path from his front door to the gate. Charlie’s family don’t have enough food to eat, they always feel hungry and Charlie’s grandparents have to huddle on the bed. The later Charlie’s father’s company went bust / went bankrupt because of the lack of money so food is a big problem in their family. His father sells some stuff by the road in order to save their family. The Charlie become thinner and thinner. Charlie’s grandfather Joe say to Charlie’s father Charlie is a growing boy so you can give him some nourishment, we are older so you don’t need to think about us. Every morning the Charlie walk slowly from his house to school in order to not exhaust his energy.
