Writing exercise

Today I watched a video which is about CGI, in the video, we could know the history of CGI and some professionals introduced how to make the CGI looked real, especially for human skin. I had been told that “Final Fantasyâ€was one of the first movies with a realistic human CGI character, and its movement and textures made it look at best like a video game cutscene. But for the skin, it was a long journey for the professionals to discover how to make the fake skin looks real included pore mapping, the appearance of light on apples and chicken, also knew the difference between a glass of whole and skim milk, so the professionals summarized 4 key points for that included albedo, displacements, subsurface and dynamic. Albedo was the base color map for character, at first, imagined the color of a face in a void, no features, no wrinkles and no lights shining on it, and the CGI people made the cheeks a little red, the forehead a litter lighter. After that, based on the model’s real skin, they adjusted the albedo map for different moods and health. The second step was displacements, they pushed the scan up or down, change the height of the face according to the model’s wrinkle and details. Moving along to the third step: Subsurface, the CGI people would do lots of measurement in this step and it could help to make skin more real.
