Are you glued to TV as I am in the past few weeks? I would say I’m not a sports fan but I’m sucked into olympics every four year no matter what. I will watch games until I’m bleary – eyed late into night, feeling every joy to crushing defeat. Yes, you are right , I’m addicted to olympics and I’m not alone. So here’s the possible reasons behind why olympics are so addictive? A good part of the answer is it has nothing to do with sports but with the stories. The up close and personal , the stories of overcoming hardships and injuries, struggles and strength, and fighting backs and fighting through.stories of redemptions.

This year a Chinese athlete’s story warmed my heart. His name is Su bingtian, the first ever Asian – born sprinter who got into the final of men’s 100 meters in olympics and ran into 10 secs. It’s so touching watching him standing there for his 3rd time and probably his last Olympics.in 2016in Rio o olympics, he hasn’t made it to semi- final and most of us was expecting him to retire as he was 26 years old , which has almost passed the golden age as an athlete. However, he decided to continue trying and challeging himself in another 4 years to get into the final. This year he achieved it, and he is 32 years old now
