As we know, in past years, Allies strategy made the USA became the strongest country in the world, but now the situation is changed. What happened? I watched a video this morning and understood the story. In the beginning, the USA only had one allies, France, which helped the USA during the revolution war in the Great Britain. But they dissolution after the war as the allies was only for winning a specific war. After that, the USA was alone as it protected by the oceans. Until 1941, Japan attacked Naval Base of the USA and broke the balance and made the leader of the USA changed the thought. they started to partner with some countries and fight back Japan and its allies. After world warII, there were only 2 powerful countries in the world: the USA and Soviet Union, European countries were weak. In order to protect their countries, the USA stepped to the European countries and collected them to be allies which is called NATO. The agreement of NATO was when a member get the invasion from other countries, it can require other countries come to assist. But the reality is difficulty as the USA has strong army but the other countries are weak, so some countries allow the USA to build the military bases in their countries. Besides this, the USA also sign the individual contracts with 6 countries in southern east Asia and 21 countries in Lartin America. For hundred years, the allies used to be winning the specific wars and prevent the war in the world. The system is workable if all the allies trust each other. But when Trumpt took office, everything was changed due to his “America first” strategy. He realized that the United States spent too much on the union, so he asked the allies to pay more, otherwise he would call back the army and reduce the military support in such countries, and the action，it has shaken the established cooperation between the alliance countries. Therefore, we will wait and see what role the United States will act in the future.
