Online Class Notes (Jesse) – 1-131 Advanced Parole [39]

I’m applying for this 1-131 Advanced Parole to be expedited.

My Parents are both elderly and very ill at the moment. My father has been suffering quite severely from Alzheimer’s disease, requiring him to have full time care and needs to be constantly watched in case he causes a fire or gets lost on the street. This responsibility has fallen to my mother, who is also dealing with significant health challenges.

My mother had a kidney operation recently and is in the middle of her recovery, with regular hospital visits. This situation is putting considerable financial strain on them which has been further exacerbated by the pandemic, causing my mother to lose her employment entirely. As they are now both retired, they don’t have any income at all to support their lives.

Another impact of the Covid pandemic was that my family were prevented from attending my wedding here in the US and haven’t even met my husband in person. My biggest fear is that if I wait too long before seeing my father again, he won’t even recognise me and I won’t be able to introduce him to my husband, which is just too dreadful to imagine.

I have managed to secure some work which I hope to use to provide at least some financial support for my family during this time. The work would begin in December, and if I’m unable to attend, I will not be able to help my family with this financial burden and I will incur further financial penalties as the work will need to be cancelled and depends on my attendance to go ahead.

I sincerely hope USCIS can understand my situation; I’m hoping to return to Taiwan for about two months to support my parents and attend this work.
