As the modern society is getting more and more developed, science has become one of the most concerning topics of people’s lives.

As the modern society develops, science has become one of the most concerning topics of people’s lives. Science is everywhere in our lives and it has driven our society forward in many industries. From this aspect/standpoint, the main objective of science should be improving people’s lives.

Q:

Nowadays, many students find it difficult to select the right courses in university. There are two major opinions about how students should manage their time. Some people believe it is beneficial for them to study more diverse courses while others believe focusing on getting a qualification makes their study more efficient. I think/After analyzing both these aspects, focusing on getting a qualification has more advantages.

R1: Getting a qualification helps university students to get used to the fast paced society in advance.
– not enough time to explore -> needs to prepare for workplace
ex) bachelor’s degree makes students more competitive -> get a job when they finish school -> some industries have age requirements/younger = more competitive

R2: Focusing on getting a qualification makes you more competitive in the job market -> more experience/time in school
– specific majors -> they know what they want to do  -> don’t need to waste time on other subjects
– hobbies for after school/work
