when to use “the”

Vocabulary

hang out: yi qi wan, not doing anything special, just being with your friend
ie. Lily is free this weekend so we’re going to hang out together.

confide in: (v) tell secrets, tell everything
ie. I always confide in my girlfriend.

complicated: fu za (adj)
ie. Lily has a very complicated love life.

rotate: lun liu
ie. In our school, we always rotate our seats.

general: guang fan de
ie. When we’re being general, we don’t use the words “the” and “some”.

Grammar

“some” = only means “yi xie” when you’re counting
when you’re being general, just add an “s” to the noun

She usually sleeps for about two hours/she usually wakes up later.

She can understand a lot of vocabulary/Her listening is very good, but her speaking is not as good (as listening).

Q: Tell me about an important person in your life.

A: I have some girlfriend confidantes. When I was a student, we have some similar experience. I think she is my best friend forever. When she was fall in love, I get some success. We have got married about same time. Now, her daughter is 3 months younger than my daughter. Now two girls become good friends. We often go out to play together and have some date. This year, the two girls will go to kindergarten. We hope them have the happy kindergarten days in the future.
