I’m a highschool student in China and I want to have a deeper study in the future. I want to get a PTE score to hand to my university.

My name is Alex. I’m a high school student from Shanghai and I’m currently in grade 12. To pursue further education, I plan to study abroad in Australia for my bachelor’s degree. I will be attending Sydney University in mid-July, about which I’m very excited. As part of my application, my language test scores are very important. So this is why I chose to take the PTE test and I hope I can get a good score.

Statistical literacy, then, is the ability to accurately understand, interpret and evaluate the data that inform these issues.

Unemployment is an important, world-wide problem, especially among the younger generation/population. Some people assert that shortening the working time can address this problem. I agree with this assertion that it’s a good measure to lower the unemployment rate because it can provide more choices/job openings and also allow people to have more time to develop and improve themselves for better job opportunities.

Firstly, shortening the working time opens up lots of job opportunities.
Jobs are limited resource -> currently, workers take up almost all of this resource -> shorten time will free up resource -> rest of the people have jobs

Secondly, young people need to improve themselves for better work opportunities through more free time.
Young people don’t have exp -> need to improve -> shorten work time = more free time to improve -> better work ability -> better jobs/easier to find better jobs
