Intro:

The responsibilities of the government has always been a topic of debate. People hold different opinions on whether healthcare and education are the responsibilities of the government or of the individual. Even though some people believe that individuals should pay for their own healthcare and education, governments should show their responsibility in ensuring these basic benefits for its people.

R1: There are some reasons why individuals pay for their own healthcare and education.
– people have different plans/standards/requirements for healthcare and education. – cannot provide a standard/fair/equal benefits.
– too costly
– other responsibilities – facilities, security

R2: Although these reasons are valid/do exist, it is more beneficial for society if the government pays for education and healthcare.
– paid tax – government responsibility to guarantee health/education – to spend money equally on everyone – ex) city planning /army
– powerful to have authority/resources/ control – effectively provide healthcare/edu

Conclusion:

In this way, individuals do have the responsibility to pay for their own healthcare and education, but it is more effective if the government put emphasis on this issue. Everyone in society – the rich, the poor – would have access to basic healthcare and education. This would make the society/world safer and more prosperous.

TS: Parents have more influence

R1: Children spend more time with their parents than with their teachers.

Conclusion:

Though some people expect teachers to bear the burden of having a deep influence on their students, I believe that/ it is more reasonable to put this burden on the parents.Parents are the guardians and hold the bigger responsibilities in raising their own children, whereas teachers should only be responsible for providing knowledge. This is more beneficial to both students and teachers.

TS: Students don’t need to spend time to study abroad in order to receive a good education/to become well-educated/to learn about culture and language.
