It influenced me a lot. My roommate is very kind and friendly. We share our food and drinks together. Sometimes I go out of school at night, and I will take some delicious food like KFC to him and he feels happy/amazed. Because most people in the school, they can’t go out of school Mon-Fri, because they have class in the night. So sometimes my fads and classmates will tell me that help him to take some food and drinks.

We usually do tests and have class in many subjects. So I think it’s really tired and difficult when I finish the whole day class. So I asked to my mom let me get out of the school in the night. I can have more free time and I think it make me more happy outside.

When I in the middle school, I go to hospital as a volunteer with my classmates. At first we send some easy gifts like apples or fruits or little things to them. Because that time in the winter and it’s really cold. We planned to make some hot teas and let them feel more comfortable. After that, we go to the hospital and help the old men as a guide. Some of them, they are poor at communicate because they’re too old. We help them to communicate with doctors and take them a long way in the hospital. After the whole day, I think it’s really meaningful for us and let me feel we are growing up.

I don’t have a lot of experience for group activity, but there’s one thing that I can remember very well/clearly, which was a volunteer work I did in school. I think I’m really good at team work. In the school, I usually am a leader to lead my friends and classmates to do group activities. But in this part we go to hospital, I think everybody in the group, we did well in our own job. Nobody was the leader.

I think no one should be lazy in the group, everybody in the group I think we should pay more attention or focus on our job. At the same time, we should take care of others. After that, when we do things together we can do well.

I think having a leader in the group is really important for us. A good leader can make the group work better together and lead us to a correct way to finish the problem. At the same time, I think people should talk to each other in the group. If the leader didn’t have the correct opinion, we should say something./tell him or her. I think a good leader should have a good connection with his or her members.

Words and languages have stood the test of time, and learning a foreign language is now a project that a modern student has to experience. Many people choose to study or live abroad to learn a foreign language. However, even though living in a foreign country definitely has both advantages and disadvantages, being unable to communicate in the local language would cause many serious problems for the individual.

Language barriers can cause serious social problems such as unemployment and psychological/personality struggles/ problems. When people from different countries come to a new place, they are usually/more often than not/ unable to understand the local culture and language, which has caused a lot of trouble for newcomers to adapt to the the local society. The society would be separated into locals and newcomers, and the difference in language may cause many misunderstandings or even conflicts. In multi-cultural countries/immigration countries, many serious conflicts result from differences in language and race. This is one of the biggest social problems we face today.

In addition, from the aspect of psychology, language barriers lead to loneliness. For example, when studying or working abroad, people cannot integrate into the local social circle due to the language barrier. These newcomers / outsiders don’t have a lot friends and usually their families are very far away. The long, lonely life often makes people enclose themselves in their own small space, which may lead to a lot of psychological problems, such as social anxiety or depression.

In addition to these social problems/More important than these social problems, there are also many related practical problems. When people cannot speak the local language, they will face great challenges and difficulties in finding a job. For example, foreign language proficiency is very important in international companies where foreign language is required to conduct business. The misunderstanding of any word of a certain clause can cause great loss to the company and individuals. Understandably/so it is reasonable that these companies are only willing to hire the people who are fluent in the foreign language. In this way, many new immigrants are unemployed and cannot make a living in the new environment.

In brief, when we go abroad, we always encounter a lot of social and practical problems, but from a personal point of view, I think living and studying in a country with a different culture and language, people will grow and progress very quickly. The most important thing to keep in mind is to always respect other cultures and histories no matter when and where.
