Speaking exercise

To use WeChat, we can have an easier way to communicate with our friends, parents, or others. We don’t need to use emails in China. The circle of friends let us see others’ life and it can enhance our relationship between the comment and likes. To use WeChat, we can play some games in China. It is easy to login in it. WeChat is really important in China, it really changed our lives a lot. Everyone have our own WeChat account, it changed our lives more easier. In the job, we just need to use WeChat to scan the picture and have a new group for the strangers you just meet. You can have a conversation quickly in the group. So I think WeChat is really useful and important.

Because I’m Chinese, the app I would choose is definitely WeChat. WeChat greatly changed our lives in many ways and I can speak for all the Chinese people when I say we cannot live without this app. First of all, of course, WeChat transformed our way of communication with our friends, parents, or others. We don’t need to use emails anymore, and the moments let us see others’ lives and interact in the comment and likes section. Secondly, maybe specifically important to gamers like me, WeChat can be used as an ID to login to most Chinese mobile phone games. So all your game info is linked with your WeChat. However, WeChat is so much more than just a communication app or a game App. WeChat is really important in China, it really changed our lives in every way. For example, in the job, we can create groups and join the chat with strangers/new people. We can send files and even money in the group. It enhances our relationship and the way we meet new people. So just like Elon musk said, WeChat is def. a super app and he wants to create an app like WeChat abroad. because WeChat is such a huge success in China.

I think apps have been developed in recent years, and I think it’s a great market, and a lot of app developers are very talented. They designed a lot of interesting apps or gaming apps. But I think some app also have disadvantages. We should plan our time on an app. Too much time on the app may damage our health, like our eyes. For example, many people can spend a whole day on Tiktok. Some even spend a lot of money on just buying some unnecessary things or even gifts for live streams. There are actually a lot of social problems that’s caused by this.

I think young people use apps more because young people adapt to apps more quickly than older people. Because the controls/how to use every app is different, completely designed the different developer, so old people may take longer to learn a new app.

Yes, because the recent technology are designed by young people, and not old people. So young people will adapt to it quickly and have more new ideas to make it better./new ways of using different apps. But old people may stick to their own lives and their jobs, and they may not need new ideas.

Young people have their own circles of friends. Others keep up to use the newest app, if you want to join them, you should use the newest app, just like them too.  Peer pressure.

Another fl I want to study is Jap. First, I like the anime in Japan and I like its culture. I think learn the Japanese can help me to hear the conversation in the anime more. The difficulty is the pronunciation is difficult, but it’s shaped like the words in Chinese. Japan is near to China so I often travel there almost 2 years. I’m poor at Japanese, and I just can say a little words on it, just like a little words on it. Sometimes I play games in Japanese server, my teammates are Japanese, actually their English is not good so I must use Japanese to communicate with them in the easiest way. Sometimes they may misunderstand my meaning, so sometimes we will lose the game. That’s why I want to study Japanese.

Besides English, another fl I want to learn is Japanese. I am huge fan of anime so I’ve been exposed to Japanese a lot/ already know a little bit of Japanese. However, I have never really studied the language; if I have time, I would sign up for Japanese language class and learn from a professional teacher. Also, I’m a game lover. I often play games in Japanese server, my teammates are Japanese, actually their English is not good so I must use Japanese to communicate with them in the easiest way. Sometimes they may misunderstand my meaning, so we would lose the game. If I know Japanese, I can make friends with my teammates and have a better conversation with them. I think our cooperation will be better. However, I think the pronunciation is really difficult but it shaped just like the words in Chinese, so sometimes I can understand a little bit of the meanings. I hope I can have time to really learn Japanese in the future.

  • intro: simple intro; make language more interesting/native (ie. I would def have to say… If I got the chance, I would pick… The first thing I thought of when I heard “….” is… )
or you can start with a story beginning … A long time ago…
  • Answer all the questions; in order is the easiest
  • big idea (<- sometimes you forget this)- specific example
  • you can add a American story/fact that you know
  • for conversation part – what happened+how I feel
  • if I ask for something big, answer something big

we don’t have any Chinese lessons to use laptop

When I was a child, I borrowed my game account and pw to the people I just meet for 3 days. It’s my online friends. I’m really like to play computer games but I don’t have enough money to buy the newest games so I think a lot of ways to get the newest games. One day, I meet the online friends in the group, I think he’s rich and he wants to be my friend so I gave him my steam account and pw and he gave me his account too. He borrows it for about half years and I don’t have enough time to play computer games because my parents teach me very hard. He put a lot of money at first, but he steals my account and changed my pw.

Borrowing something
Describe a time you borrowed something from others ( friend or family member)
What did you borrow
How did you borrow it
What was the other person’s reaction Why did you need to borrow something

When I was a child, I lent my game account and pw to the people I just meet for 3 days. It’s my online friends. I was very naive (tian zhen ) and I trusted others too easily. After those “friends” stole my account, I learned my lesson. / Then, when I grew up, I really like to play computer games but I don’t have enough money to buy the newest games so I always think a lot of ways to get the newest games. One day, I meet a new online friend in the group, I think he’s rich and he wants to be my friend so I gave him my steam account and pw. I wanted to take advantage of him and let him buy lots of games for my account.  At that time, I didn’t have enough time to play computer games because my parents locked my computers away. I was happy when he borrowed my account for about half a year and he put a lot of money at first. However, in the end, just like my online friend from my childhood, he steals my account and changes my pw. This is the second time someone borrowed my game account. After that, I never trust people who wants to get their hands on my account again.
