A: I have two names. My Chinese name is LYL, and my Eng name is Alex. My grandfather gave me my Chinese name./I got my Chinese name from my grandpa and my English name from my grade 2 English teacher. Let’s talk about my Chinese name first, because usually Chinese names carry more meaning. My grandpa thought the characters YL had special meanings. It can give me  luck and happiness when I grow up. I am quite happy with this name, as it’s not a very common name, but it sounds cool in the Chinese language. Let’s continue to talk about my English name. There is no special meanings in my English name, but the name Alex is a quite common English name, so it’s not too weird. But actually, I really don’t know why my teacher called me Alex, but I just went along with it.
