Q: Why do you want to make a change? Why do you want to join our company?
A: Now I’m working in a local pharmaceutical company. Also, the culture is not very open. I like my current job, the scope is very big, all the procurement is handled by me. But I want to back to a big MNC company to join in a more open and more challenge culture. Also, LL has very pipeline in global, so I think it’s a very big platform for me. It is really good for my career path.

A: This is part of my career plan. I’m now working in a local pharmaceutical company, I actually like my current job. The scope is very big, all the procurement is handled by me. But the company culture, which is quite important to me, is not very open. They don’t have a very standard process, even when I had already set up the SOP last year. People in the company don’t want to adhere to the SOP. I think this is not the way I want to work.  But I want to get back to a big MNC company to join a more open and more challenging culture. Also, LL has very well-developed pipeline globally, so I think it’s a very big platform for me. It is a really good opportunity and an important part of my career path.

Q: Please tell me about the output in your previous work or any other significant work you’ve done.
A: I think for this question, I want to talk about how I influence our i. s. h. to treat our procurement team as a business partner in their daily works. I want to take a project for example, when I worked in.. we kicked off a media monitoring project. And the purpose of the project is to verify the data of our media platform which we collaborate with. And to find the real date media platform to help our brand strategy. As a result of the project, we find that there are 3 or 4 media platform have a fake date in their projects. Which covered 35% of the spending in our early spend. So we negotiate with this media platforms and renew our master contract with them and also reduce the rate card with the platforms. Also, help our business user to use their budget more efficiently.

A: I would to talk briefly about how in my previous work, I took the initiative to influence our i. s. h. and drive cost-saving processess, and tried my best to contribute to our procurement team. I want to take a project as an example, when I worked in.. we kicked off a media monitoring project. The purpose of the project was to verify the data on our media platform which we co-operate/manage with our venders, and also to select the media platform with real data to help our brand strategy. At first, we found a media monitoring agency who had some exp in fmcg area, but none in the pharmaceutical industry. At last, we decided on a vender who could accommodate our customized requirements. I worked with this vender and our i.s.h. to setup a work-flow that before we post news or live stream, we put a data-tracking code in our news and we can use this code to verify how many readers or followers there are. And we can finally verify the real data of the media platform.  As a result of the project, we found that there are 3 or 4 media platforms with false data in our projects, which accounted for 35% of our yearly spending. So we negotiated with these media platforms and renewed our master contract with them and also reduced the rate card with the platforms. At last, we helped our business users to use their budget more efficiently.

Q: Because this position is for IT and digital category, how can you face this very professional category? how can you learn the professional skills?

A: I already have over 10 yrs of work exp in this area, mostly focused on digital. So I think I have good knowledge base for this position. Other than that, I am a motivated learner. I have three ways of learning, internal, external, and self-learning. For internal learning, I will learn from my peers, our vendors. For external learning, I am a member of the CPSM group, where there are many professional procurement members. We have sharing sessions and discussion forums, where we learn a lot from each other. Also, I am capable of learning/I also enjoy learning by myself, I bought many books on… because personally, I am interested in digital solutions and digital innovations. So I think these 3 ways of learning can help me be a professional category lead in this area/for your position.
