Writing exercise

1. Immaculate [a.]
– extremely clean and tidy / If you say that something is immaculate, you are emphasizing that it is perfect, without any mistakes or bad parts

– very famous and much admired, especially because of what you have achieved

3. subsist [v.]
– to exist; to be valid / to manage to stay alive, especially with limited food or money

– Stray cats often subsist/survive on handouts.

– too polite in a way that is not sincere
– Zero tried to make a “friendly and passionate” impression on the interviewer, however this made her smarmy.

5. unlikely [ad.]
– If you say that something is unlikely to happen or unlikely to be true, you believe that it will not happen or that it is not true, although you are not completely sure.
– Internet just like air. It is necessary but you are unlikely to be aware of it.

6. Linger [v.]
– When something such as an idea, feeling, or illness lingers, it continues to exist for a long time, often much longer than expected.
– This scented candle could linger an Osmanthus flavor for 1 hour after it went out.
– The Osmanthus smell lingered for 1 hour after the candle went out.
– the lingering smell in the air
