My mission is to be an intrepreneur of the corporation, the industry and ultimately
the society in China.

Growing up, my most important life values seem to keep changing. *

I was born in a small town in Jiangxi province, so of course, I was always taught by my mom, my grandparents, even my nextdoor neighbor –  to be the good girl. By everyone, that is, except my dad. My father was, for the lack of a better word, an adventurer.

I was born as the daughter of an adventurer in a small town in Jiangxi province.
My dad started his career as a surgeon surrounded by patients that he knew
since childhood. However, against the will of my parents, he decided to leave
the town and opened his own clinic in Guangzhou. It wasn’t easy to start a
business from the scratch in a big city.  He was the doctor, the manager, and
the ambulance driver all at the same time. There were even times when he pulled up/drove the ambulance
at/right up to the front door of my primary school. I
was laughed at by the others and felt embarrassed. (concept: comformity & need to be accepted) At the time, I didn’t know the vehicle that kept
my head down was actually the light that kept his head up.

At seventeen, it was the courage to stand up to the majority…*

I had been practicing dancing for 5 years … when I decided to ..“What’s
wrong with you?” was the response I got from my the surroundings. They couldn’t understand
why someone would give up the classic ballet for such an underground alternative.
As I sat in my tutu in the dance studio, doubting my every decision and second-guessing my every … , I remembered/thought of the ambulance that stuck out in the parking lot of my school *. (concept: Live for myself, chase my own dreams like my dad, be genuine to yourself and your dreams) And I remember that the important thing is not …..  The important thing* is my passion and my dream that has brought me so much joy, friends, applause, confidence, exhillaration, excitement …

At twenty … ,  it was being a change-maker, or having the ability to influence … *  This was the year when I had just graduated from …and undertaking the most accounts as the youngest sales at Bloomberg.  and most recently, to leave
Bloomberg for a fast growing company, shouldered to establish the product marketing
team from scratch, and to improve the product knowledge of over 200 sales
across three cities. I gained confidence by seeing how much value I have created
to these firms as a change maker.

Every brave step I took has pushed me beyond the status quote, revealed who
I am and determined what role I want to play in the financial industry and the
society. In a short run, I would like to become a product manager that is able
to leverage my past experience at Bloomberg and Datayes and bring innovation to
the financial market in China. In a long run, I want to become an influential
leader empowering my people to go beyond the limit collaboratively, and challenge
what is told fearlessly.

With the MBA at Kellogg, I believe I will be able to bring my value to my short
and long-term career plan, and become an inspirational leader in China.

And I have
my fear too. It is my fear to comfort, convenience and predictability
