Yesterday I had a job interview with COTY, the gobal beauty company making cosmetic, skincare, fragrancese and hair styling brands. The position which they offer me is Digital PR Manager of salon brands in COTY. It sounds pretty interesting becuase I’ve been working for innisfree, the skincare brand from Korea, for 6 years and I really want to work for new categories like salon brands.

The interview went quite well. I had one on one interview with the HR manager, a Canadian guy. Suprisingly it was one of the most relaxing interviews I’ve ever had. We talked about my work experience in marketing field and he said he is pretty interested in it because of diversity. I’ve beeing in charge of integrated marketing strategy of innisfree which includes advertisement, PR and online influencer management. I guess these various working career make me different from other marketers.

Even though the interview went peaceful, but the interviewer seemed to have some concerns of my salary. He said my current salary from innisfree is between Manager and Senior Manager level’s for COTY and he will think how they can deal with that. By the way, I am still looking for other jobs as researching and I will keep seeing what kind of positions I can get here in Shanghai.
