Craft beers became popular in Shanghai about 2 years ago.
run a red light
a 9 to 5 job – usually working Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, or around those times.
eg: I wouldn’t like a 9 to 5 job.
tropical – everything in between the TROPICS, (lines on the earth used to measure the land and sea)
full bodied – a heavier taste, not so light
eg: Microbrew or Craft beers are more full bodied than regular beers.
brewery – beer factory
liquor – a strong alcohol, Bai Jiu, Vodka, Whiskey, Scotch
wine – Grape alcohol
pep talk – a short speech to motivate and encourage people, especially in sports or business meetings
eg: I gave them a pep talk, but it didn’t work, now they are too scared. It was a bad pep talk.
Writing exercise
Give in / give up:
Eg: The stronger opponents could not let us give in . We will try our best to win the game and never give up. It is a good opportunity to practice our team spirit
Put off
Eg: I put off my booking of the English lesson because of traffic jam.
Call off
We call off all of the appointments for clients when we know our boss will come to check the work next week. we need more time to prepare the reception.
Carry on
The boxers carry on fighting after the referee stops the match. Maybe the envirment is very noisy and fans are passionate.
Pull through
As a beginner for the sales, I experience many troubles from the unknown clients and pull through it by the confidence of getting rich.

Eg: We can not give in to tougher competition. We will try our best to win the game and never give up. It is a good opportunity to practice our team spirit.
