tradition – something that people or families or even one person, will keep doing over long periods of time

eg: My family tradition for Christmas, is that we each can open one present on Christmas Eve (night before Christmas day). Then on Christmas day, we can open all the presents(gifts).

integrate – become part of

assimilate – become part of the culture by accepting all of their ways

eg: I hope we can integrate into Australian culture.

there is an unnecessary amount of hard work in Chinese Schools

I hope we can integrate into the community. I already have some connections here, (know some helpful people here) like friends of family, who have businesses. And I really hope my son can learn some important values from Australian culture as well as our traditions back home.
