-esque  –  add to the end of a word, having similar qualities to, it is almost the same, but a little different.

eg: How is that coffee?  I don’t know it tastes weird. Maybe it’s not really coffee, but it’s just coffee-esque.

-ish        –   somewhat, approximately.

eg: He is over there by that reddish car.

eg: She looked about fiftyish, but she could have been older.

selfie – a picture that you took, of yourself

eg: Selfie sticks are really popular now.

superficial – only on the surface, for example, a scratch on a car. or someone’s appearance, not their character.

eg: Don’t worry, it’s only superficial damage, it can be fixed easily.

eg: She is so superficial, she spends all day taking selfies.

filter – a layer that other things must pass through first, used to stop other things from coming in.           air filter, water filter, photoshop/selfie filter.

eg: That air filter needs to be replaced.

eg: I don’t like to use filters in photos, I like natural photos.
