Vocabulary

food court – a place with many restaurants, and some tables all in the middle.

eg: There’s a really good noodle place at the Reel food court.

dragon – a fake animal, that can fly and breathe fire

eg: What is a dragon?

A dragon is a fake animal that can fly and breathe fire. china has many real dragons.

dragon fruit – a fruit, sometimes red or white. you can cut it in half, and eat it with a spoon. Like a small watermelon.

eg: I think red dragon fruit is better than white. (dragon fruit)

watermelon –  a big green fruit, that is red on the inside, can eat with a spoon

eg: I love watermelon.

eg: My family was growing watermelons.

kiwi – a small fruit, about half the size of an orange. It is brown on the outside and green on the inside. It is very soft.

eg: I like kiwis, but they are expensive in China.

mangosteen – shan zhu

eg: Mangosteens are not like mangos.

mango – an orange or yellow fruit, you can’t eat the skin, it is very soft and has a big thing inside.

eg: I really love mangoes.

salmon – san wen yu

eg: Salmon is a fish.

eg: Salmon is a healthy food.
