Vocabulary

there were a lot of people in line / there were a lot of people waiting in line

mess with someone / fuck with someone – trick someone or play a joke on them

eg: Russian and American militaries are always messing with each other. Like Russians flying planes too near US air space, and vice versa.

eg: They are always messing with you, it probably just means they like you.

priority line –

eg: She got to use the priority line because she wasn’t a local.

a pack – a container, usually soft

eg: A pack of cigarettes.

a carton –  a larger container, more like a box, but very thin and made of cardboard

eg: I need a carton of eggs.

eg: There are 10 packs of cigarettes in a carton.

supervision – someone watching and taking care of you

eg: We were ble to escape their supervision for a moment.

Grammar

she prevent us from escaping the hotel – she was stopping us from leaving the hotel

our 12 people’s group – our 12 person (ADJ) group (N)

she pretend to wash her hands but her aim is to observe – she was pretending to wash her hands, but she was really checking on her
