Vocabulary

Go along with (someone) – to do the same thing as someone else, to follow and agree with them

eg: If she sets up the new company, of course I will go along with her.

eg: I can’t go along with your crazy plan, it will not work.

a pitch – an idea for a plan or project, like… a pitch for a movie… and a pitch for an AD campaign.

eg: She gave a great pitch. they loved her ideas.

eg: She gave a pitch for an AD campaign.

eg: She pitched (V.) her idea, but it failed. They didn’t do the project with her.

fail – to not succeed , to finish without success

eg: I failed my exam, I got a 58%.

eg: Their business failed after one year. Because they didn’t hire good employees.

eg: Don’t be afraid to fail, just try it.

eg: Her pitch failed, they didn’t like her ideas for the project.

eg: If I fail… I will be unhappy. I will feel bad for myself. But I will try it anyway.

hire – to get someone to work for you, and pay them

eg: I’m waiting for my friend to hire me at her new company.
