Vocabulary

There’s a saying… (say what it is)

eg: There’s a saying in English, the early bird gets the worm.

eg: There’s a saying in Chinese, Don’t draw legs on a snake. It means don’t overdo it.

Overdo (Sth.) – to do too much

eg: I think she overdid it with the lipstick.

eg:I think she overdid it with the patterns. You shouldn’t wear stripes and checkered patterns.

pattern – a repeating style.

eg: The game Checkers, has a black and red checkered board.

blazer – the jacket for a suit

eg: Wearing a blazer with a dress “is in” this year.

match – 1. when the colors or the style look good together 2. when two things go well toghether, or should go together.

eg: These shoes don’t really match my dress, but they are comfortable.

eg: That color really matches your eyes.

contacts – things you can wear on your eyes, to help your vision, or to look different.

I went to the Game Center with friends on Sunday afternoon. It is near Peoples square station. It was my second time I went/to go there. I can get stuffed toys much more easily there. I tried to do it in other Game Centers, but I never got them and it was really sad when I saw other people get them.
We got 160 tokens that costs two hundred RMB, we bought them online and exchanged them in machine. We wanted to catch one toy called ‘pink popping tiger’,  on the 7th time we got one. Then we tried to win the toy called ‘pink mini tiger’. They are really really cute, we tried several times but we didn’t get one.
We played one game called ‘gun play’, we only got two guns so we couldn’t all play/so two of us had to watch. I felt it was funny and interesting, even though I was losing again and again. After this one we tried a 3D car racing game and it was really awesome that it felt real with voice and action. I was excited and felt truely in car game. My friends tried motorcycle racing and dancing games, they did good and we were happy. Finally, we got three toys but I didn’t take them and gave them to my friends. Such a wonderful day and I hope we will find some new interesting things to do next time when we meet.

The proposal for March week 4 window outfit for HK & China shops. Shops need lighter and more bright colors to draw the customers attention and enhance the chance of a sale.

eg: It’s hard to understand English if it is a cultural reference. Because you need to know the culture to understand what they are talking about. Like, if I say, that guy is a worse actor than Jackie Chan. (You need to know who Jackie Chan is, because I referenced him, and my meaning can only be understood if you know him.)
