task

reschedule – change the time of something planned

eg: Can we reschedule the meeting?

eg: Can we reschedule it for two hours earlier?

sympathy – understanding the feelings of others

empathy – feeling the same feelings as other people

apathy – no feelings

apathetic – (ADJ) you don’t care about anything

eg: He is very apathetic.

eg: They were apathetic about the new rules. It didn’t really change their mood.

insensitive – not caring about other people’s feelings

eg: Oh, you’re dog died? Are you gonna get a new one?

Don’t say that, that’s so insensitive. He is still sad about his dog dying.

So you got your work out of the way, and now you’re free the rest of the day?

Yes I worked hard this morning, and after this class I should check e-mails and send the weekly report.

eg: Did you get your holiday out of the way?

No, because I don’t want to get it out of the way, it is not in the way. I’m looking forward to it. It’s not an errand or task I have to do.

eg: Do you want to get that meeting out of the way?

Oh, do you wanna do it earlier?
