Write a short story using words from your last two classes.

Vocabulary

broth – liquid that meat or something has been cooked

eg: I make some broth, then I freeze it and heat it up when I am ready to cook with it again.

thaw/defrost – to let something frozen get warmer slowly

eg: Let the chicken thaw before grilling it.

eg: Set the microwave to defrost (40 % power), then put the soup in there for 3 minutes.

grill V. – cook on a grill, or BBQ

melt – to become liquid

eg: Don’t let the ice cream melt, put it in the freezer.

eg: It’s so hot, I feel like I’m melting.

eg: Melt some cheese over those chips.

(Most) = Worst       Tofu is the worst.

(More) = Worse     Tofu is worse than Chicken. / Tofu isn’t worse than chicken. / Driving is worse than walking.

Bad.     Tofu is bad.

OK

Good    Tofu is good. / Big / Tasty (it tastes good) / Beautiful

(More) Tofu is BETTER than beef.  / Elephants are bigger than tigers. / Tigers are not smarter than elephants./ Tofu is tastier than mutton./lamb. / Peacocks are more beautiful than other birds.

(Most)   Tofu is the best.
