widespread – being in many places, very common

eg: The flu was widespread this year. A lot of people got the flu.

painkiller – medicine you take to relieve pain

eg: Bayer makes painkillers.

cushy (ADJ)- easy, usually for a job or life.

eg: Her job should be cushy, but she’s always busy.

eg: He grew up with a very cushy life, everything was easy for him.

eg: I think a cushy job would get boring quick.

cushion (N) – a soft thing usually put on a chair, to make it more comfortable.

eg: This chair needs a new cushion, it’s not comfortable.

Grammar

I’ve been working there for 2 days = I’ve worked there for 2 days. (Both, Still work there)

I worked there for 2 days. = I had worked there for 2 days. (Now, you don’t work there)

Had Been Doing – Use this grammar, to explain something that happened, while you were doing another thing

eg: I’d been working there for one year, before I got promoted.

How long has he been working there?

He’s been working there for more than one years year.

When did he get promoted?

He got promoted after working there for one years year.

Is he still working there?

Maybe, we can’t know.
