Vocabulary

paralyzed (ADJ) – can not move your body

eg: One time my brother woke up and half of his face was paralyzed. He got acupuncture then he was ok.

puncture V. – to poke/cut a hole in sth.

eg: I was riding my bike and I punctured my tire. Then all the air came out of my tire.

acupuncture N. – a treatment from Chinese medicine that uses needles to puncture the skin

eg: I never tried acupuncture. I don’t like needles.

my nerves – your feelings, or how you stay calm

eg: He is getting on my nerves. (He is starting to bother me)

eg: I don’t have the nerve to ask my boss for a raise. (Not brave enough)

eg: He had the nerve to try and kiss me, but he knows I am married. (too brave/confident, rude)

eg: He had the nerve to climb the mountain, after everyone else quit. (brave)
