When will you graduate?

What does graduate mean?

It means, to finish school. So, when do you graduate?

I graduate for in two years.


In – use for future time, how much time you still have before…

eg: We have class for one hour.

We started class at 4:20.

Class will finish at 5:20.

Now it is 4:40.

Class will finish in 40 minutes.

eg: I will go home in one hour.

alarm – nao zhong, a clock that will make a sound, when you want to remember something.

eg: I set my alarm for 7am, because I have class at 8am.

eg: My alarm went off at 9am, I was late to class.

eg: Sorry, my alarm didn’t go off. I don’t know why.

your heart is not in it – you do it, but you don’t care about it.

eg: If I’m a bad student, then the teacher’s heart is not in it. (Student is good, but teacher is bad) (teacher doesn’t care)

eg: I’m a bad student because the teacher’s heart is not in it. (Teacher and student are bad)

make-up N. – something you can wear or put on your face to make you look different or more beautiful.

eg: I didn’t put on make-up today.

eg: I want to put on some make-up.

eg: Are you wearing make-up?   I’m wearing a little make-up.

eg:  I put on some make-up to play the role of a 30 year old(ADJ). person.(N.)

eg: I wore make-up to play a person who was 30 years old.

Grammar

What did you eat for breakfast?

I ate some cheese, milk, bread and fruit.

What were you eating for breakfast?

I was eating some cheese and bread.    (When…(something) happened.)

I was reading a book when I finished my breakfast.

We were having class when my alarm went off.
