a ton of / tons of – a lot of / lots of

eg: I have a ton of work to do.

anti – ….. –   you are against that thing.

eg: I’m anti-gun, that means I don’t like guns.

soothe – to ease(V.) the pain or make it feel a little better

eg: What can ease a sore throat?  Drink Ginger tea with some lemon to ease a sore throat.

eg: Drinking ginger tea can ease a sore throat.

perspective – how you see things, ex: from a female’s perspective…

misconception – a wrong idea, something that many people think is right, but really its not.

eg: It’s a common misconception that getting thinner means you are losing weight.  In one case, a girl gained weight, but got thinner. Because muscle weighs more than fat.

eg: Its a misconception that its bad to eat spicy food in the summer.

misinformed – poorly informed
