vacation – a few days or a week or more,  Time off work or school.    OR a fun trip somewhere.

eg: I will go back to USA for Christmas vacation.

eg: I will take a vacation and go home.

eg: I have a vacation this month.

eg: I will go see my mom and dad on my vacation.

eg: Celeste is on vacation.

gift – something you give to someone, because of a special day, or reason.

eg: Did you buy a birthday gift for her?  I bought a gift for her.

treat someone to something – you will buy something for someone, or do something for someone

eg: I will treat you to dinner.

eg: Let’s get coffee, it’s my treat.

invite – ask someone if they want to go with you.  Maybe they PAY, maybe they DON’T

eg: I want to invite you to dinner with my friends tonight.

eg: I got invited to a new year’s party.

eg: Yolanda, do you wanna go to this New year’s party with me?   Yeah, I’d love to. / Sorry, I can’t go, I have plans.
