Read the story of Tian JI and his horses, try to explain it simply in English and compare it to the political process of gerrymandering. Good Luck, this is very hard!
Vocabulary
I learned about the word
I dip the dumplings in that and some spicy sauce, or hot sauce( sounds like Mexican style spicy sauce)
Garlic – Da suan
acid N. – more harmful, damaging
acidic ADJ. -having an acid taste
eg: Some acidic foods are…
Oranges are medium acidic
Lemons are highly acidic
Vinegar is slightly acidic
Coffee can be highly or slightly acidic
base N. – neutral and balanced
allergic – if you eat this thing, your body will have a bad reaction, or even get near it sometimes
eg: My friend is allergic to dogs, if you even have a dog in your home, he will have a bad reaction.
eg: When she was young she wasn’t allergic to anything, but when she got older she became allergic to beauty masks.
gerrymandering – changing the voting map, to put the weakest parts against the strongest parts, so in the end the weaker TEAM will win.
eg: Tian Ji Sai Ma In horse races if I use the weakest horse against your best horse, and I use my medium horse against you weak horse and then I use my best horse against your medium horse, then I will win. This is like gerrymandering
In a competition,
If my team is weaker,
I will use my weakest one against your best one,
then my best one against your weakest one
