Your heart rate will rise.

Your heart will not rise! it will stay in the same place.

The rate will rise. because if we look at these numbers on a graph, the line which represents this rate, will go up, to indicate a higher number.

rate – speed per minute (period of time)

accumulate V. – to build up something over time, adding little by little.

eg: Snow accumulates faster in cold weather.
