Subway/Underground – the network of tunnels that trains use to transport people in the city, all the tracks that connect to each other.

eg: I take the subway home.

Train – machine that people ride inside, it may have many CARS attached to it.

eg: I was waiting in the subway, but I missed my train because I was on the phone.

eg: The train doors opened, but I didn’t get on.

Tracks/Rails – the long metal pieces that the train sits on.

eg: Don’t touch the third rail in the subway, it is very dangerous.

eg: Hold the handrail when you are walking down the stairs.
