The law says that only 12 foreign movies can be shown in China.

If a movie has some Chinese content, like a Chinese character, or someone speaking Chinese, or part of the movie is in China… then it is not considered a “Foreign” movie, it is a joint production, which means both countries produced it.

Before 2015 the law said that you can not import USA beef to China.

Loophole – the thing, or way, that lets you avoid a law or rule, without breaking any rule.

eg: I took advantage of a loophole to get into my university.

eg: My client and our company mutually agreed to solve the claim by using a loophole.

get out of “doing something” – to escape your duty or obligations, anything you should do

eg: Mom told him to clean the dishes, but he got out of it by saying his finger was hurt.
